(More customer reviews)Usage: I'm a web developer and graphic designer. My workflow involves using a number of tools that are specific to Windows and others that are specific to the Mac. I also use virtual machines for remotely controlling computers and supporting asp and [...] websites.

Experience: I'm an owner of Parallels 2 and, as released, upgraded to Parallels 3. I was also involved in the Beta testing of VMWare Fusion. I have to acknowledge that the Beta versions of Fusion were not stable, however the release version was a tremendous step up from the Beta and significantly faster than Parallels. Parallels is fine if all you're running it for is IE6/7 browser support for IE specific website (i.e. quickbooks online). If you own Parallels and use it sparingly switching to Fusion is a waste of money. If you use audio, video, and graphic editing programs in your virtual machines you WILL notice huge performance gains running Fusion over parallels. There are numerous *free* appliances available from VMWare you can download, which work immediately and seamlessly with Fusion. Very nice.

Summmary/Recommendation: If you're in the market for a Virtual Machine application VMWare Fusion is my recommendation. If you already own Parallels and use it sparingly there's no need to switch. If you use Parallels with processor intensive programs I recommend switching to Fusion as it is much faster.

OmniPage 17 Review

(More customer reviews)Just when you thought Scansoft could not make a product any more user-unfriendly: introducing Omnipage 17.This product is terrible.I still have not found a way to use it.I just want my money back.This is not from someone who has never used an Omnipage program before.I have owned both 12 and 14.Both were headaches (and the customer service is awful), but at least I could make sense of them after a while.But I am the idiot who thinks, "this time it will be different; this time they will get it right."All I want to do is one very simple thing: convert scanned pages into Word documents.Eventually (and after a lot of frustration) I will be able to figure this thing out as well, but for now, I make the same pledge I seem to make every few years to never buy another Nuance product again.
ADDED December 24: I finally got the program to work, but I could not remember how I did it.Certainly the "help" within the program was no help.It took me another thirty minutes (and a lot of frustration) to finally get it to work a second time--and I still don't remember quite what I did.I cannot adequately express the level of frustration I feel when trying to operate this program.I am sorry I purchased it.

UPDATE: It is now March, and I am still struggling with this software.After nearly four months, I am to the point of taking it off my computer and putting the old one back on.I can't say enough bad things about this product.

ONE LAST UPDATE:I did figure out how to use this program (on my own, of course), and I now use it frequently to good result.I am now glad that I own it; however, I will balance this by saying that the accuracy is not all that nuance makes it out to be.I am finding errors such as leaving both punctuation marks and small words like "I'll" out entirely.The program will also confuse an exclamation point (!) with a lower-case L (l) at times.These problems do not happen a lot, but I do find them I would estimate one or two every seven or eight pages, so careful proof-reading is necessary.I also check against originals to make sure that the source of the problem is not there, and it is not.

ONE LAST ONE LAST UPDATE:I'm done with 17.There are too many problems--problems with scanner and computers--I am back to OmniPage 14.It simply works better.Now I just have to remind myself to hang up the phone whenever some Nuance rep. calls with the "latest and greatest product" - there is no reason to believe it will work better than any of the others.

Greeting Card Factory 7.0 Deluxe Review

I've been using Greeting Card Factory 7 (GCF7) for more than a year now, and for the most part, I am completely satisfied with it. I would have upgraded my rating from 3 to 4 stars, but the system won't permit me to change my rating.

Here are my only complaints -- they are few and minor -- in no particular order:

1) Only one document can be open at a time. This is a bit of a nuisance, since I like to copy content between cards and matching envelopes. (How long has the Windows Multiple Document Interface been around?) Instead of opening two documents and copying/pasting between them, it's necessary to open the source document, copy the desired item(s), close the source document, open the target document, and paste the copied item(s).

2) No business card "content" that I could find, anyway (File / Browse Templates), and the business card "templates" (Files / Browse Blanks) are organized under the "Labels" category. (I had to hunt a while before I found them.)

3) While we're at it, the convention of calling content "templates" and templates "blanks," but that's really nitpicking.

4) Copying images from the program via the Windows Clipboard into my image editor (so I can make more advanced modifications than GCF7's Photo Editor can handle) doesn't always work: images sometimes have lines through them, which I believe originate from the resizing / rotation "handles" GCF7 overlays on the image when you select it. However, a somewhat-less-convenient workaround is available: right-click the image, then click on Export Selection as Image... This opens a dialog that lets you set parameters for the exported image, which you can then open in the editor of your choice.

5) GCF7 sometimes gets confused by its own file extensions, saving one kind of document (a greeting card, for example, *.fgc) with a different file extension (i.e., note card, *.fnc). This is no big deal, as I've never lost work, but I've had to remember this if I'm browsing say, greeting cards only, and can't find a card I've saved previously. The solution is to expand the search criteria to all documents in the folder.

6) When opening documents, the preview window doesn't always display a preview. This seems to occur most often with greeting cards (*.fgc).

7) Sometimes, if the GFC7 window isn't maximized, it "disappears" from the screen, making it necessary to right-click its button (if that's the correct term) in the taskbar, and clicking Restore or Maximize.

All in all, however, these are very minor quibbles, greatly outweighed by the quality of the program and the depth of its content. I'm very satisfied with GFC7 on the whole, and intend to continue to use it for years to come.

*** MY ORIGINAL REVIEW ***

I just bought this program and installed it yesterday. The problem with lines appearing on the printed card is a known bug with v.7.0.0.x of the program, and has been resolved by the publisher (Nova Development). In fact, when I launched the program for the first time, it alerted me to the fact that an update was available, and downloaded and installed it when I gave the OK. Nova Development refers to this as a "major support patch;" it's about 3.8MB in size. The patched version of the program is 7.0.1.1 (as of 1/22/08).

Also, note that Microsoft .Net framework 3.0 or higher is required for GCF 7 to launch. I didn't have .Net installed, and had to download and install it before GCF 7 would run. (This isn't documented, and the launch error dialog didn't help; I had to call their tech support group to resolve this, but the guy I spoke to was friendly, competent and helpful.) I installed the latest available version (3.5) of MS .Net.

By the way, I only gave the program a 3-star rating, because I haven't had time to put it through all its paces yet.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 Plus Premiere Elements 2.0 Review

(More customer reviews)I've been using PSE3 heavily for the past year, and now have PSE4. It's a nice improvement over PSE3 in some cool new features, plus several basic areas, notably documentation, startup speed, and scrolling speed.

First, the documentation has been completely rewritten. You know get a good-sized User Manual with many how-to's this year. I wish Adobe had more color in the guide, but least there is a full-color section at the end.

Second, the performance has been dramatically sped up. The slowest launch time of the Editor is down from 28 seconds to about 8 on my laptop.This should really sing on a much faster desktop drive! Also, the scrolling speed in the organizer is really smooth now...you get this really smooth continuous scrolling even in a very large catalog. (My catalog is >13,000 photos and videos.)

Finally, some of the new features are pretty amazing.While the File Browser is gone, I don't miss it because the Organizer is so cool."Face Tagging" automatically finds the faces in your photos, and lets you tag by dragging tags onto the faces themselves, instead of onto a batch of images.

The Magic Selection Brush is pretty darn cool, letting you just mark "keep this" and "don't keep that" without having to do laborious selections.This is great when you want to take one person out of a picture, but you can also use it to select an area and then do all your color adjustments only on that area.It doesn't always work, but it's really cool -- especially since they linked it up to the great Quick Fix panel, and you can select with the wand, then edit just those pixels in the Quick Fix panel, instead of the whole image like in v3.0.

Overall, this is a really nice set of improvements, and I'm glad I got the new version!

Inspiration 9 Review

(More customer reviews)I am a big fan of outlining and mind mapping applications. I have been using Inspiration since it was first introduced.

It is a solid application for the purpose and extremely well priced against more feature rich comperitors.

Several years back, Inspiration decided to pitch their product primarily to the school market, primarily grades 6 - 12. Apparently this has worked for them and as far as I know, they do no advertising or marketing to the business market. This may be a wise decision on their part, but as a result millions of people who favor the outlining and maind mapping approach are missing out on a very accomplished tool.

Inspiration allows you to explore concepts graphically and/or in traditional outline form.

You can drag symbols wherever, create text boxes with automatic links to one another, enter your ideas in rapid-fire fashion in either graphic or outline view. New in this version are a presentation tool to create PowerPoint-like slides and an external presenter application so you can show your work on computers that don't have Inspiration loaded.

The program is simple to learn and vey stable.

The pricing is extremely reasonable for a program of this power.

I've been using it for more than two decades, so I am obviously pleased.

Adobe InDesign CS5 Review

(More customer reviews)I am a scientist, not a graphics professional.I used InDesign for the first time as version CS3 and was impressed; I successfully made several nice posters without too much effort.Now that I am writing two books for which I am creating many illustrations in Illustrator, I thought InDesign would be perfect for page layout.It certainly has the capabilities.My goal was to import a roughly 40-page chapter from MS Word 2010 and then add 13 figures with figure captions and two text boxes.I struggled for roughly 3 days, during which I watched numerous how-to videos and read a lot of instructions, before I got completely bogged down.For example, because InDesign is capable of advanced tasks like creating dynamic figure captions, I spent a lot of time trying to get it to automatically number figure captions.The process was painful and ultimately unsuccessful. I gave up, and on a whim tried MS Publisher 2010.What I couldn't accomplish after at least three days of effort using InDesign I was able to accomplish in less than 3 hours in Publisher. I don't know yet whether Publisher will be able to pull together all of my chapters and create a TOC and index like InDesign can, but since I couldn't even finish a chapter using InDesign, it's ability to work with multiple chapters is useless to me. And the interface for working with books in InDesign is a joke: it's a tiny panel; if you choose "Create new book" on the splash panel, you won't even know InDesign created a book, because the tiny panel is obscured by the splash panel.InDesign's interface is bland, and all of the icons and text are tiny and can't be made larger. Combine that with having to wade through a lot of jargon in the user manuals (typography jargon is especially annoying), and trying to learn and use InDesign CS5 proved to be painful, and required intense concentration and dedication. Yes, Adobe spent a lot of time producing helpful user manuals and how-to videos, but perhaps their time would be better spent making an easier to use product than trying to provide help for a hard to use program.In summary, InDesign CS5 is absolutely no fun to use, so if you can accomplish your page layout tasks with a simpler program like MS Publisher 2010, don't use it.

Interactive documents and presentations
Engage and inform readers and clients with documents and presentations that integrate interactivity, animation, sound, and video. Help reduce costs by creating interactivity directly in InDesign.
New intuitive panels help you add rich media to page layouts:

Animation panel. Apply the same motion presets included in Flash Professional CS5, or add your own custom presets to InDesign to instantly animate objects on the page without writing code. Options in the Animation panel let you specify duration, speed, rotation, scale, and opacity. Quickly edit a motion path using the Pen tool, and convert any path--even one you import from Illustrator--into a custom motion path with the click of a button
Object States panel. Create multi-state objects that indicate which button is selected, display images in a slide show, or show versions of text in different languages. Multi-state objects are page items that have multiple appearances. Object states can be images, text frames, or any other objects or groups you want to display when someone clicks or rolls over an interactive button while viewing an interactive document. For example, you might create a multi-state object that consists of multiple images to create a click-through slide show; when the viewer clicks a button, the next image appears.
Timing panel. Control animation timing and playback without having to use a timeline to add keyframes or create motion tweens. Use the Timing panel to determine when objects such as bullet points in a presentation or images on a page should animate in the interactive document. For example, animations can be triggered to play when the page loads, when the page is clicked, or when a button is clicked. Loop the animation or play it a specific number of times. Link objects to animate simultaneously, with the same or different durations.
Media panel. Preview and scrub through placed video files without leaving InDesign. You can select a frame from the video sequence to represent the video in your InDesign document before the video plays, and even create navigation points that determine which parts of the video play when you click a button or otherwise trigger an action.
Preview panel. Take animations, buttons, and other interactive elements for a test drive without leaving InDesign. You no longer have to re-export your content every time you make a change to any rich media element--interactivity, animation, video, or sound--just to see how the change affects the document. Instead, preview and test a selection, the page, or the entire document before you export your final SWF file.

Simplified object selection and editing
Perform repetitive layout tasks efficiently in InDesign CS5. Numerous improvements can help make tasks such as aligning and distributing objects or customizing frame corners faster and easier.

Multiple transformations with a single tool. You can use one tool to select, align, distribute, rotate, resize, reposition, crop, and scale frames and frame content. InDesign CS5 dynamically switches to the right tool for the job, so you never need to lift your mouse from the layout. The new Content Grabber lets you quickly reposition content within a frame, just by clicking and dragging. A real-time crop preview helps you position the content precisely where you want it.
Gap tool. Adjust the white space between objects to dynamically reposition page items while maintaining design relationships. Shift the white space up or down, left or right, without having to crop or resize each object on the page individually. You can even expand or contract the white space, dynamically resizing or cropping adjacent objects accordingly. The new Auto Fit feature keeps the relationship between the object and its frame consistent as you resize the frame.
Live Corner Effects. Drag the corners of a frame to dynamically change the radius and shape of the frame directly in the layout. Modify one corner at a time or all four simultaneously.
Easy grid placement. Take the tedium out of placing images in a grid, as in a directory or catalog. Simply press arrow keys to add columns and rows for images or threaded text frames.

Integration with Adobe CS Review
Streamline reviews and accelerate your design workflow with CS Review, a new Adobe CS Live online service that integrates with InDesign CS5. Using CS Review, you can create and share documents for online review within InDesign. Colleagues and clients can view your document online and add comments with easy-to-use annotation tools directly in their browsers. All comments are automatically displayed in InDesign CS5, within the context of your page layout. Clicking a comment shows you the content it references, so you can easily match comments to the appropriate areas of page design. Simple sharing, easy access to reviews, and centralized comments speed up the review process to help you finish your project on time and within budget. CS Live online services are complimentary for a limited time.
Multiple page sizes
Simplify file management by creating pages of different sizes in a single document. Whether you're designing marketing collateral, brand identity deliverables, or a magazine layout with complex folds, keeping all of a project's assets in the same file shortens design and production time.
The new Page Selection tool makes it easy to select individual pages, which you can resize using options in the Control panel. You can easily share design assets by applying the same master pages to pages of varying sizes. With the Page Selection tool, you can even reposition the master page content for different layouts: select the page, select Show Master Page Overlay in the Control panel, and then drag the edge of the master page to position it over the page.

Track text changes
Get to final copy faster now that you can track text changes directly in your InDesign document. You can write, edit, and mark up text in InDesign with no need to import separate text files and remap styles every time there are copy changes.
With Track Changes enabled, InDesign keeps track of additions, revisions, and deletions in the document. The page layout remains uncluttered; to see the changes, simply open the Story Editor. There, you can accept or reject changes using options similar to those in popular word-processing applications. InDesign automatically assigns a different color for changes made by each user, so you can easily see who's made the edits.
Paragraphs that span and split columns
Quickly format headlines, subheads, or any text to span multiple columns in a single text frame. In previous versions of InDesign, all text in a frame conformed to the column width. To span a headline across multiple columns, you had to cut the headline out of the story and paste it into a separate text frame. Now you can apply settings to a paragraph, specifying whether the text should span some or all columns, or split columns, so that InDesign automatically reflows what was one column into two or more columns.
All-new Layers panel
The Layers panel has been completely rebuilt. If you're familiar with the Layers panel in Illustrator and Photoshop, you'll feel right at home in InDesign. You can now view not only layers but the individual objects they contain.
Select, hide, name, lock, and change the stacking order of objects such as text frames, images, and shapes directly within the Layers panel.
Reconfiguring grouped objects is fast and easy. With a quick click, you can reveal the hierarchy of objects within a group, including any hidden objects. Then, simply drag objects from one group to another in the Layers panel--with no need to ungroup, select items, and regroup.
Production enhancements
InDesign CS5 includes several productivity advances designed to help you deliver print and digital documents faster. Improved integration with Adobe Bridge software and the new Adobe Mini Bridge panel in InDesign, document-installed fonts, and the ability to export PDF documents in the background all can help you meet deadlines with ease.
The new document-installed fonts feature helps avoid the inconvenience of missing fonts during production and printing. When you package a document, InDesign includes fonts used in that document. When that document is opened on another system, InDesign looks for a document fonts folder and automatically installs those fonts for use only in that document. It then uninstalls them when the document is closed. This timesaving feature can help avoid costly design and print errors. While InDesign takes the hassle out of installing the fonts required for printing a design project, the appropriate font licenses are still required for any party creating or printing the document.
Now you can preview individual pages in an InDesign document in Bridge without opening InDesign. You can also view thumbnail previews of the images placed in an InDesign document in Bridge without having to open the InDesign file first, making it easier to locate and reuse images. In InDesign CS5, you can access much of the power of Bridge without leaving InDesign. Locate InDesign files, images, videos, and other assets using Mini Bridge, and drag them directly into position in your document.
Maximize your production time by exporting PDF documents in the background. InDesign takes advantage of 64-bit multithreading, so you can export large files as you work on other projects.
Print to digital
Quickly and efficiently extend your page content to the web, onto mobile devices, or for playback in Adobe Flash Player.
Hand off InDesign CS5 pages to Flash Professional CS5 with greater fidelity. The new text engine in Flash Professional retains typography you created in InDesign, including threaded text frames, so you can easily make last-minute text edits in Flash Professional. Multi-state objects and placed video and audio files included in the InDesign CS5 layout are carried over into Flash Professional. Objects animated with motion presets in InDesign are added to the Flash Professional timeline as motion objects. The original layer structure of the InDesign document is re-created in the Flash Professional timeline, so the Flash developer can easily understand how pages were created.
Create compelling eBooks with enhanced support for the EPUB file format. Author eBooks that can be read on a variety of devices such as the Apple iPad, Sony Reader, Barnes & Noble nook, mobile phones, or personal computers using Microsoft Windows or Mac OS. Include interactivity, animation, sound, and video to bring eBooks to life when read on a personal computer using Adobe Digital Editions, a desktop reading application. Enhanced export features include the ability to control content reading order based on document structure, support for prebuilt CSS to provide consistent styling, support for chapter breaks, improved table formatting, and font subsetting.
Get a head start building web pages with enhanced export features that let you repurpose InDesign text and image content using Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 software. Using the Structure panel in InDesign, you can control the order in which page content is placed on the web page when imported into Dreamweaver. InDesign now generates CSS definitions that more closely match the text attributes you specify in InDesign to give you greater control over typography and reduce the need to rework text in Dreamweaver.
Live captions
Generate static or live captions for an image automatically from its metadata. Adding a caption such as the photographer's name or copyright information directly from metadata stored with the image saves time and helps minimize the chance of error.
Live captions change as the metadata changes. Static captions use metadata when you generate them, but aren't updated later. You can convert a live caption to a static caption at any time.

(More customer reviews)I didn't have high expectations for this program but I was pleasantly surprised.Even though my handwriting was sloppy and often ran uphill, the software recognized the overwhelming majority of words.I could easily correct those it didn't.It also seemed to learn words that were unfamiliar to it such as "ePortfolio".After I corrected that word twice it recognized it in subsequent pages.It has a setting for object recognition as well. For the price, I was glad I bought it.

(More customer reviews)While this software installed easily on my iMacG5, the map data CD's zoom and travel very slowly.Also no roads are named and routing is rudimentary at best.My dvd rom also burnt the yellow dye off the first data CD I put in the machine.None of these things has ever happened with my other mapping software.One could get better and more detailed mapping info online for free than with this.Finally, when the zoom is eventually accomplished, it is not at a very close scale.All in all, a very disappointing product.

(More customer reviews)Before using Flash I have had no exposure to animation programs.Having learned how to use flash I wish the interface was more user friendly, by that I mean I wish it was setup more like Illustrator.Fairly often I found myself wishing it would rotate something or align something like in Illustrator, there is the option of importing but I heard that takes up more memory.I read the review about crashes, on the Mac I have had zero crashes and have not had to fuss about anything like that.So in general I have read this version adds some stuff but it's all new to me, I would recommend this to anyone starting out.Though I am looking into similar programs and might consider switching.

Print-quality typographic control
Designers have come to expect rich typographic control in applications like InDesign and Illustrator. However, it's been extremely difficult or even impossible to set professional-level typography on the web--until now. With the Text Layout Framework support in Flash Professional CS5, designers can take advantage of rich typographical controls, including:

Advanced text styling such as kerning, ligatures, tracking, leading, superscript, subscript, discretionary hyphens, margins, hypertext, baseline shift, typographic case, digit case (oldstyle/lining figures), and digit width (proportional/tabular figures).
Advanced text-layout controls including threaded text blocks; the selection, editing and flowing of text across multiple columns; linked images; text wrap; and inline images (supporting PNG, JPG, SWF, or any Flash Player DisplayObject). Tab stops and CSS anti-aliasing are also supported.

Global language support

Deliver to desktop computers. Take advantage of the ubiquity of Flash Player within browsers and Adobe AIR for extended support on the desktop. Content displays with a consistent look and feel across operating systems and browsers.

You can scrub video and view the timecode directly on the stage, making it easy to add custom cue points.

In their uncompressed format, FLA files enable multiple users to work on the same projects.


XML-based FLA source files
Flash Professional CS5 uses an XML-based implementation of the FLA file format called XFL, offering improved cross-product integration and workflow productivity. This compact and efficient file format both accurately maintains data in a Flash document and makes the individual elements easier to manage and use.


For example, an image that is currently used in a Flash project could be checked out of a source control system, updated, and checked back in. The next time you open the FLA project file, you would instantly see the updated image without having to manually import it into the project.


With better support for multiuser environments and cross-product compatibility, the XML-based format in Flash Professional offers the following benefits:

The uncompressed format allows several users on a team to work on the same project simultaneously--no more having to split the project into multiple FLA files.
Integration with source control systems is now possible because each team member can work on separate assets in the XFL package, eliminating the need to resolve differences.
Mobile developers can work on the same files as other developers. (In the past, mobile content could not load other SWF files.)

Code Snippets panel
Flash Professional CS5 provides a new way to quickly include code for things like timeline navigation, actions, animation, audio and video, and event handlers with the Code Snippets panel. By injecting prebuilt code into projects, you can work faster, freeing up more time for creativity.


For example, the sample code snippets allow you to create interactive buttons without extensive code experience. Code snippets also contain helpful comments and clear instructions right in the code and can greatly reduce the ActionScript 3.0 learning curve by helping new users learn how the ActionScript language works. In addition, because the panel is extensible, you can create and share snippets with others, helping to reduce overall production time.


Enhanced ActionScript editor

Test Movie and Debug Movie. When invoked, these commands bring up Flash Professional CS5, open the FLA file that has been set in the properties of the current project, and test or debug the movie. Once the SWF window is closed (or the debug session is ended, in the case of Debug Movie), focus is returned to Flash Builder (and the FLA file remains open). You can also set breakpoints in Flash Builder that work in the Flash Professional debugger.
Publish Movie. When invoked, this command brings up Flash Professional CS5 and publishes the target FLA file. Once the export is complete, if compiler errors were found, Flash Professional is brought to the front with its Compiler Errors panel open and the errors listed. If no errors were found, a dialog box in Flash Builder indicates that the Publish request was successful.

Spring for Bones
With Flash Professional CS5, Adobe integrates the power of a dynamic physics engine into the Inverse Kinematics (IK) system. This engine allows new users to create lifelike animation with ease, and gives expert users powerful functionality that is supported for both runtime and authortime. Spring gives IK animation movement that is 100% configurable, so you can now get realistic multi-object interactions that don't look robotic and rigid. Spring, a property of an IK Bone element, consists of two attributes: Strength and Damping.

Strength sets the amount of spring. When the value is greater than zero, the bone reacts with a physical movement that is proportional to the Strength value and the overall movement.
Damping adds resistance to the Strength value. This affects the rate of decay of the spring, which in turn determines the duration between the initial movement and the time when the IK Bone returns to its rest position.

Video improvements
With integrated support for content created with Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe After Effects software, it's easy to work with video content directly in Flash Professional CS5. Streamline embedding and encoding processes with on-stage video scrubbing and the ability to define cue points directly in the Properties panel. Now, when you have an FLV playback component on the stage, you can see the video on the stage, whereas previously you had to test the movie. Flash Professional CS5 also includes Adobe Media Encoder, enabling you to convert just about any file format to FLV or F4V.


New Deco drawing tools
Flash Professional CS5 extends the functionality of the dynamic Deco brush tools, enabling you to easily draw shapes and add advanced animation effects. These new brushes include:

Particle System. Quickly create movement for particle phenomena like clouds or rain.
3D, Decorated, and new Grid brushes. Draw stylized lines or create patterns with multiple objects at once.
Tree, Flame, Lightning, and Building brushes. Use specialized tools to add and customize these stylized shapes.

None of our CDR files will show previews. There are 1000's of cliparts that we cannot tell what they are because the program will NOT show thumbs, just a little green pencil icon which is the corel x5 logo. Nobody in corel forums knows how to solve this problem, and there are many others who have this problem with their corel X5 too. corel Inc. will not do anything to help. too bad, the program seems to have many good features if you could just see your file thumbs.
