The best thing about this is that it saves your diaryenteries with a password and in a secert code. So even if someone does knowthe password they cant read it. Thedown part about this prouduct is thatif the software gets deleted all your files are erased because it doesn;tsave your files on your computer wich is why I took away a star and wich iswhy they ask u to print all your files just in case.

IMSI PDF to Word 2.0 Review

(More customer reviews)The product arrived with a disc loose in a big box, little documentation, and a worse problem:The on-line registration, required to use the program after 15 days, fails to work.

Worse product registration approach I have ever seen.

The program itself is excellent and very fast.However such means nothing if they don't give you an activation code!

Update: 2007

This program does run in Office 2007.HOWEVER, I have found the input conversion (pdf to word) very unreliable, with lots of errors and stupid formatting.

Office 2007 has an update to save in PDF....USE IT.As for input, this program is extremely weak.

(More customer reviews)I used this product just long enough to discover that the Mac version does not support rich content when converting Word .doc or .docx files to PDF.Internal links (cross-references to bookmarks in the same document), for example, are not converted.For that, I was told after several support calls, one needs the Windows version, which is supposed to come with PDFMaker for use in such conversions.

All that was several weeks ago.It took that long, working faithfully with the call center from day to day and from week to week to sort out (1) who I am - I had an older customer ID associated with a purchase made years ago, and it took several calls to figure out the customer ID under which my Acrobat 9 purchase was made; (2) make them realize that I'd uploaded my software destruction agreement as a prerequisite to the license swap that would get me the Windows version; (3) confirm shipment.The Windows version is due to arrive this week.All I can do is hope that I don't have to call back and start over at the beginning.

Adobe makes great products and is uniquely situated in today's ebook marketplace as the purveyor of PDF, the new preferred format for the Kindle DX.They won't have to do much to ride the wave of success built on quality and market positioning made all the more profitable by this new wave of good fortune.There isn't much in this mix to motivate a more efficient customer support organization, and it shows.

The call center people are very sharp and helpful but mired in a disjointed business model.They do the best they can.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this program with the intention of entering a bunch of typewritten pages into my computer.The document that this program produced from newly typed material was so full of errors that I simply had to re-type.It would have taken longer to correct than to re-type.When I talked to Textbridge about these problems all they would tell me is that the program was not meant for such use and that I should buy one of their other programs which had good optical character recognition capabilities.In other words, they know the product is not any good and they are not willing to stand behind it.The program is useless for optical character recognition work or anything else.

(More customer reviews)This is a beloved treasure of 120 years of knowledge and history, and a very valuable reference resource. However, there are a few points that ought to be noted:

>>Reported bugs are still waiting to be fixed as of October 1st, 2010. Examples are:
- The Apr 1953 issue displays the cover of Apr 1953 but the content of Apr 1954. The Apr 1953 issue is completely missing.
- In the Jul 1960 issue, the first advertising page is missing and replaced by a duplicated page 11.
- 2 pages are reported missing from the Jan 1977 advertising section. The first is the nomination page and the second is half of two pages for Cadillac.
- Jul 1942 and Feb 1992: Pages missing, causing pagination problems in the issues with double page spreads not appearing on facing pages.
- In the Feb 1993 issue, pages 72-73 are missing and replaced by duplicated pages 78-79.
- The bottom line of photo caption on page 125 of the Dec 2003 issue is partially cut-off.
- From 1991 to 2008, at least 30 maps are reported missing. Examples: The World War II double map supplement is missing in the Dec 1991 issue. The Sep 2000 map is missing. The "100 Years of Flight" supplement from the Dec 2003 issue is missing. The Jerusalem's Holy Ground map is missing in the Dec 2008 issue.
It doesn't seem like the CNG has any quality control over this product. It solely relies on customer feedbacks to be aware of these missing items. The Complete National Geographic is still incomplete with such bugs existing.

>>The Complete National Geographic contains National Geographic Magazine issues published through December 2008. National Geographic announced in their press release dated 10/13/2009 that "The Complete National Geographic" users will be able to add to their archive after purchasing the DVD-ROM or hard drive product by downloading annual updates on a subscription basis from [...]. Content updates for The Complete National Geographic will be available after the print editions of the previous year have been published. An update for the 2009 issues of National Geographic Magazine for The Complete National Geographic will be available for purchase and download via the Internet in the spring of 2010 - Not yet happened as of October 2010.
NGM released an updated edition of this DVD set ($69.95) and a 2009 annual update DVD ($14.95) in September 2010. The National Geographic apparently slipped in "bugs fixing" and "annual update download" for this Complete 120 Years edition.

>>Updates need to be installed to add missing pages of Apr 1913, Dec 1930, Mar 1950, Sep 1960, Aug 1970, and Jul 1979 issues to the collection. However, updates have to be downloaded through Auto Updates or "Check For Updates Now"; there isn't an independent update installer for archive and repeat installation.

>>Either the digital magnifier that comes with the software or the maximum zoom needs to be used to clearly read the texts on your monitor. Don't expect a .pdf ASCII text resolution of the scanned pages.

>>The patch (revision 1.26) to copy CNG content to local drive was released for Windows on January 31, 2010. It takes many hours to copy the 6 DVDs to the hard drive.

(More customer reviews)The 'Essentials' version of Dragon Naturally Speaking 7 (DNS) has the core features but none of the extras.There is really no point in getting the 'standard version' over this as the standard version only has four extra features that you probably would not use much, if at all, anyway.
What matters here is that the speech recognition engine in DNS is excellent and quick to set up and use, and the core speech recognition engine is the same for all the DNS 7 variants.The time you put in through use to train it is time well spent, and you can speak at a normal pace with very high quality results.OK, if you try to use it in a noisy environment you will get problems, but use a bit of common sense and patience and you get great results.
If you want to use DNS with a dictation machine then you have to go for the 'Preferred or Professional' versions, likewise if you want to have your words read back to you (text to speech)But if you just want to do the basics such as dictating letters, essays, memos, or email, then DNS Essentials has all you need.
If you are spending your own money and don't really need the advanced features then go for DNS Essentials, if it is someone else's money, or you really need the extra advanced features then get the preferred or professional.Of course it helps to have a fast PC with more memory than the minimum specifications too!

Manga Studio Debut 4 (Windows) Review

(More customer reviews)The full version (EX) might be worth buying, but this really isn't. All of the good features are in the EX version. Debut doesn't offer anything useful that couldn't be had with a free, open-source program such as GIMP or Inkscape. I've also found that those two programs have far better learning resources available than this does.

Customer service is also poor. The response I got to a simple question about how to acquire a physical product manual (which does not exist) amounted to "Shut up, idiot." You get what you pay for, I guess. Or you could pay NOTHING and get something better. Weird!
