(More customer reviews)I have used dragon naturally speaking for years. In my experience, Dragon naturally speaking software worked well, but the customer support is horrible. Recently made the switch from PC to Mac. Since dragon naturally speaking and MacSpeech Dictate are made by the same company(Nuance), I thought they would be very similar in their performance. However, this is not the case. MacSpeech Dictate ( I use the legal version) is simply not ready for the retail market yet.The software crashes continually. Moreover,while dictating, the cursor randomly jumps around the page. This causes text to be inserted in unintended places.This makes the software virtually unusable, and could have potentially devastating consequences for an attorney.For something that cost over $500, you would expect it to at least work. Personally,because the software does not work reliably, I think Nuance should offer MacSpeech Dictate legal customers a free upgrade when they finally get the bugs worked out.
